MRI Technologist - Gastonia, North Carolina

Step into an essential role delivering advanced MRI imaging services within a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract opportunity focuses on providing attentive, expert care as an MRI Technologist, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging while working collaboratively with a strong medical team.


Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week)
• Shift: 12H Nights

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
• Review patient history and physician's notes to ensure accurate image acquisition.
• Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, utilizing appropriate imaging protocols.
• Assure compliance with facility policies, including documentation and infection control standards.
• Provide clear communication and compassionate care to patients throughout their visit.
• Participate in a fair, rotating on-call schedule, sharing responsibilities with full-time, part-time, PRN, and fellow contract staff; call frequency is based on team size.
• Assist with holiday coverage as needed unless approved for time off in advance.
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot minor malfunctions, and report technical issues promptly.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid ARRT (MR) certification or equivalent credential required.
• Demonstrated experience in MRI imaging in a clinical setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient confidentiality.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
