Description

• Conduct assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing standardized instruments and insightful observations.
• Create tailored treatment blueprints addressing both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions concentrating on various aspects such as communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to facilitate progress and growth beyond clinical interactions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Keep detailed documentation that complies with all relevant state, federal, and organizational standards.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is still pending.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
