CMM Programmer/Dimensional InspectorEagle Technologies, LLC (Newport News, VA) is seeking a qualified CMM Operator/Inspector. Eagle Technologies is a small business who designs and manufactures airframe components for the aerospace industry, with a niche in rotor blade and prop blade development. For more information visit our webpage at Type: Full-time, on-site, ability to work flexible shifts.Salary: $26-$46 per hour depending on experienceJob Summary: Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:Works in accordance to company established quality systemsConducts complete first piece inspection to assure process is correct before production run begins. Communicates findings in a respectful and professional manner.Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities, such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, or electrical characteristics.Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.May set up and perform destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.May prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into computer for analysis.Ensure that the product or service our organization provides is fit for its purpose and meets customer expectations.Running/programming the CMM, Faro arm tracker, and Romer Arm for all inspections requiredMentoring employees on functionality and running of CMMsOther activities as may be directedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Team PlayerAbility to use and read micrometers, calipers, vision systems, CMMs and other measuring equipment.Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of the companyProficient in data collection, analysis and presentationExcellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access and the Internet.Knowledge of CMM Manager and Spatial Analyzer (SA) software or equivalent.Ability to program and operate CMMs.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics or engineering drawingsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds required.Credentials and Experience:Two year degree in Engineering or QA discipline preferred or equivalent experience is acceptable3 years prior experience in quality assurance desired, a background in manufacturing/R&D a plusWill work on government contracts.Must be US citizen.Eagle Technologies, LLC offers a full-time position with full benefits, competitive pay and opportunity to grow within a cutting-edge aerospace company.Eagle Technologies, LLC is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
