About The Role We're looking for a PGD Engineer – Solar Inverter on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment. It is a W-2 position. The Power Generation Division is looking for a PGD Engineer. This engineer will apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and fields related to solar power generation. You will need to make decisions independently regarding engineering issues and processes. Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410 Key Responsibilities Develop and refine troubleshooting guides for top fault codes across all inverter technologies Build and maintain fault code database and Do Not Reset (DNR) lists Use AI to create troubleshooting guides and apply engineering principles to datasets to synthesize information Be the primary technical liaison between Solar Inverter Fleet Team, ROCC, and CWE, acting independently on technical matters Complete process improvement assignments with broad terms, general goals, and limitations Work with individuals and OEMs within and outside the organization with responsibility to regarding technical matters pertaining to individual projects Support the responsibilities – Solar Inverter Team: Support component failure rate analysis and development of work plans Become a subject matter expert in at least one inverter manufacturer Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures at solar sites Assist field technicians and ROCC operators with troubleshooting inverter and other solar issues Help develop countermeasures for recurring issues Support responses to regulatory bodies for data requests Qualifications Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering Bachelor's Degree in other engineering discipline with equivalent experience with electrical systems 5+ years of engineering experience Utility-scale inverter and power electronics experience And ability to work with operations teams Helpful Qualifications Master's degree in electrical engineering 2 years of experience with solar inverters Previous experience in operations support or control center environments Our Safety Pledge To You If you are as committed to your success as we are committed to your safety, then this is the position for you!
