We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Engineer to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Demonstrate tool capabilities in AFM and laser repair platforms as well as cryogenic cleaning of photomasks and wafers. Support customer development requests while working efficiently on tool improvements in support of the photomask industry. Coordinate quality activities in all departments associated with product design, build, and testing. Communicate with pre‑existing and new customers to understand technical needs and to convey these to other departments in support of product improvements. Provide technical support or marketing collateral through sales presentations and product demonstrations. Perform system process qualification and installation for each product. Ensure product application/solution functions according to specifications. Understand photomask repair process and metrology verification. Assist service staff and/or provide direct service support to end‑user customers. Provide direct assistance to manufacturing staff during build, test, and debug. Interface with Engineering and Sales departments to support customer requests. Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on‑line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Travel extensively to customer sites, trade shows, and conference venues (approx. 50% of time). Perform other duties as needed/requested. Additional Responsibilities Travel extensively (approximately 50% of time), including internationally. Environmental Requirements Work in office and Class 1‑100 Cleanroom protocols (hair net, smock, shoe covers, latex/nitrile gloves) at customer sites. Qualifications Experience working in the semiconductor or photomask industry for a minimum of 5 years. Experience and understanding of metrology, inspection, and repair equipment in the photomask industry. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Microsoft Project, and SharePoint. Experience with vendor/third‑party software support packages for integration into electromechanical components. LabVIEW and network familiarity a plus. Sub‑assembly to system‑level experience in electronics, mechanical, and integration. Detail‑oriented and disciplined management and meeting skills. Educational/Experience Requirements Bachelor's Degree. At least 5 years of work experience in an engineering or applications position OR one academic semester of internship or graduate work in an engineering or applications position. Estimated base salary range for this full‑time position is between $95,400 and $169,000 per year.
