Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to provide therapy from the comfort of your home office while collaborating with an experienced, multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients' mental health status through initial intake interviews and standardized assessment tools.
• Formulating tailored treatment plans that address individual clients' needs, focusing on evidence-based therapeutic approaches and cultural competence.
• Providing ongoing individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring that each client is equipped with effective coping skills and strategies.
• Regularly documenting progress in our electronic health record (EHR) system, maintaining accurate and confidential records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborating with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients requiring multifaceted support.
• Participating in clinical supervision and peer review sessions to enhance service delivery and professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse client population facing an array of challenges, including but not limited to substance abuse, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and eating disorders. Your work will make a tangible impact on improving their quality of life and promoting resilience through an individualized therapeutic approach.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of New York.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.
• A strong foundation in evidence-based treatment approaches and a deep understanding of various mental health disorders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and modern communication technology.
• A commitment to ethical practice and maintaining client confidentiality.

Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with the following experience will be favorably considered:

• Demonstrated experience delivering therapy in a remote or telehealth setting.
• Exposure to culturally responsive practices and an understanding of how cultural factors influence mental health and treatment.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits
