This contract opportunity involves working closely with students throughout the school year, helping foster academic growth, independence, and positive classroom engagement in a supportive setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Active New York State license/certificate required for Teacher Assistants
• Proven ability to support students individually in both academic and behavioral settings
• Patient, adaptable, and effective communicator in dynamic educational environments
• Previous school-based or special education experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to assigned students throughout the school day
• Assist with academic instruction, classroom participation, social interaction, and personal care as needed
• Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to implement student strategies and goals
• Maintain accurate documentation regarding student progress and behaviors
• Support students in developing independence and positive behavioral skills
