Day Habilitation Program Director

JRIs Developing Abilities programs provide comprehensive support for individuals with developmental disabilities offering services that promote independence skill development and community integration.

The Program Director of Willow Tree Day Habilitation Services will oversee the day habilitation services at this site for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our day habilitation programs are designed for transition-aged adults and others who benefit from personalized small-group approach emphasizing community integration and active engagement in meaningful activities.â

Schedule: This is a full-time in-person this role you will commute between programs locatedWest of Boston andMetroWest Massachusetts. The main office is located in Framingham MA.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $70000 to $78000 per year . The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience education licensure certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

In this role you will:

• Lead a JRI Developing Abilities day habilitation program site.
• Oversee implementation of services according to assessed service need staffing rations and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adequate staffing resources support and backup are available to meet the service goals of each client.
• Recruit hire train and supervise and evaluate staff of day habilitation services including the use of contracted services and temporary staff.
• Implement day habilitation operational safety and risk management systems.
• Organize resources and monitor ongoing activities to ensure appropriate delivery of services and quality care in safe environments supported clinical administrative and technical resources.
• Implement trauma-informed strength-based positive behavior support practices in alignment with program guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage for services.
• Ensure best practices through systems that promote data-informed efforts and continuous quality improvement in services including DDS CARF and MassHealth licensing certification and accreditation systems.
• Develop an annual comprehensive statement outlining your programs goals and objectives ensuring integration with the current JRI strategic plan while addressing specific program and client needs.
• Engage in JRI Developing Abilities Management team Risk Management Safety and Human Rights activities.
• Manage program budgets expenditure plans fiscal controls and billing systems to ensure effective service levels and resource provision within regulatory or contractual requirements and service allocations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in human service or related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Two years of experience in human service management.
• Masters degree in human services or related field can be substituted for two years of management experience preferred.
• Two years of experience working with multiple entities to optimize operating programs and ensure regulatory compliance MassHealth and CARF preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Ability to lead people and projects.
• Ability to develop and maintain productive positive relationships
• First Aid CPR certification and certification in non-violent crisis intervention and prevention techniques.
• Ability to work independently without a supervisor or other colleagues present.

• Maintains valid drivers license and ability to drive consumers in agency vehicles and own a vehicle if necessary.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.
