Journeyman Electrician — FAA / Mission-Critical Electrical Work Bull-Williams Contracting | Woodway, TX | Nationwide Travel Bull-Williams Contracting is a federal contractor specializing in mission‑critical electrical and infrastructure installations that support the safe and reliable operation of the National Airspace System. Role Description Bull‑Williams Contracting is seeking a full‑time Journeyman Electrician to support FAA installation projects and related electrical systems. This position is based out of Woodway, TX, with nationwide travel to project locations as needed. The Journeyman Electrician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, devices, panels, conduit systems, and related components in accordance with drawings, specifications, electrical codes, and project requirements. Daily responsibilities may include reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics, bending and installing conduit, pulling and terminating conductors, installing panels and devices, supporting backup power and critical power systems, performing system checks, troubleshooting electrical issues, documenting work performed, and working closely with project managers, supervisors, FAA representatives, and other trades. This role requires a strong commitment to job‑site safety, quality workmanship, regulatory compliance, and maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work environment. Key Responsibilities Perform electrical installations and repairs in accordance with applicable codes, drawings, specifications, and FAA requirements. Install conduit, conductors, panels, devices, equipment, and related electrical components. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical documentation, and project specifications. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform maintenance or corrective repairs as required. Support mission‑critical and backup power system installations. Perform system checks and assist with testing to verify safe and proper operation. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed. Follow all safety procedures, use appropriate PPE, and help maintain a compliant job site. Travel nationwide to support short‑term federal project assignments. Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders to complete work safely, efficiently, and correctly. Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician license in Texas, or ability to obtain. Strong practical knowledge of electrical systems, safe work practices, and applicable electrical codes. Hands‑on experience with electrical installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. Strong conduit bending skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and technical documentation. Proficiency with electrical tools, equipment, and testing instruments. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality. Ability to work on‑site in varying environmental conditions, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces when required. Effective communication skills and ability to work well with project teams, supervisors, clients, and other trades. Experience with backup power systems, federal projects, aviation facilities, or other mission‑critical environments is preferred but not required.
