Senior ServiceNow Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer with 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience to design, develop, configure, and support enterprise ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ITSM, ServiceNow scripting, integrations, CMDB/CSDM, Service Portal, UI Builder, and platform architecture , along with relevant ServiceNow certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, and custom solutions across ITSM and related modules.

• Develop and maintain custom scripts using JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, and ACLs .

• Configure and customize Service Catalog items, workflows, Flow Designer, approvals, and automation .

• Design, develop, and support integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs and MID Server .

• Develop scalable and maintainable solutions following ServiceNow development and platform best practices .

• Configure and enhance ITSM modules , including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and CMDB.

• Design and maintain CMDB structures, CSDM models, data relationships, and data quality standards .

• Develop and customize user experiences using Service Portal, UI Builder, and custom UI components .

• Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing, deployments, troubleshooting, and production support.

• Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, product owners, and other platform teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

• Work within Agile/Scrum environments , participating in sprint planning, refinement, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.

• Troubleshoot complex ServiceNow issues and provide root-cause analysis and sustainable solutions.

• Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, performance, scalability, and maintainability standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience in enterprise environments.

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.

• Strong expertise in ITSM modules , including:

  • Incident Management

  • Problem Management

  • Change Management

  • Request Management

  • CMDB

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting .

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Glide API

  • Business Rules

  • Client Scripts

  • UI Policies

  • Script Includes

  • ACLs

  • Flow Designer

  • Service Catalog

• Strong experience with ServiceNow integrations, REST/SOAP APIs, and MID Server .

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture and development best practices .

• Experience with Service Portal, UI Builder, and custom UI development .

• Strong understanding of CMDB design, CSDM, data modeling, and data management .

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments .

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional ServiceNow certifications are an asset.

• Experience with enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations and platform modernization.

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow security, performance optimization, and application governance.

• Experience collaborating directly with both technical and business stakeholders .
