Travel Labor and Delivery RN - $1,875 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job ID: 1431989. L&D Travel Nurses provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery of a baby. They must ensure the medical and emotional needs of their patients are met throughout the birthing process. As an L&D RN, you will assist physicians with epidural and pain medication administration, episiotomies, and preparation for cesarean delivery. Responsibilities Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor. Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques. Check cervix periodically to monitor progression. Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids. Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc. Provide immediate care of newborn. Qualifications ACLS, BLS certification. Minimum 2 years of experience. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
