POSITION OVERVIEW

As aSeniorQuality Engineer, you willbe responsible forchampioningsupplier food safety,managingmaterialcategories, and working with both internal and external partners to ensure the safety of General Mills' products and processes. You will also have the unique opportunity to impact the plant and the overall ITQ (Innovation, Technology & Quality) function by leveraging your knowledge and skills to providedeeptechnical expertise, become a leader of global connections, and be recognized as a valued partner for our plant, sourcing, and business teams. The right candidate for this role willleveragestrong project management skills,relationship management skills,be results-oriented, and be able to find opportunities for value creationin order tohelp the company succeed. The projects you manage in this role will provide you witha high levelof cross-functional exposure and will accelerate your ability to navigate and influence across ourglobalorganization. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop communication and influence skills, a deep technicalexpertiseoffood safety and quality, and you will havean exposureto manufacturing environments both inside and outside of General Mills.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Provide Food Safety Quality leadership and direction through technical mastery in the areas of regulatory compliance, SPC, system capability, sanitation, and food safety risk mitigation,and champion material supplier food safety and regulatory compliance Manage specificmaterialcategories byidentifyingand reducing supplier food safety and regulatory risk, providing technical categoryexpertise,ensuring specificationcomplianceand assessing supplier performance; provide food safety,qualityand regulatory training with our suppliers and external GMI partners Provideleadershipas needed for global initiatives including but not limited to process improvements, process standardization, and team development Build alignment and strategy with cross-functional partners;lead risk assessments and root cause analysis activities for issue resolution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor'sdegreein Engineering, Food Science, Packaging, Materials Science, or related field 5+years of relatedFood Safety or Quality experiences Willingness to travel20-30% of time Ability to managecross-platformprojectsand becomfortable with ambiguity Demonstratedmechanical aptitude, ability to apply engineering principles, and ability to troubleshoot

SALARY RANGE

The salary range for this position is: $95,300 - $143,200 Annual At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
