Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medefis Program - Fairfield Medical Center.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: - Must pass position competencies, including rhythm recognition.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - One to two years of experience as an echocardiography technician preferred, including 2-D echo with M-Mode, spectral and color flow Doppler, transesophageal echocardiography, and stress echocardiography.

Unit Details: - Performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound and assists with other non-invasive cardiopulmonary procedures. - Performs stress echos, transesophageal echo, 2-D echo with M-mode, color flow, cardiac Doppler, EKGs, event monitor applications, cardiac monitor applications, pulmonary function tests, lower extremity Doppler studies, and stress testing. - Patient population includes adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients. - Additional duties include documenting in the EMR, immediately informing physicians of life-threatening test results, assisting cardiovascular staff, transporting patients, supply inventory, clerical duties, supervising and instructing students, and precepting new employees.

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)) or the alternative certifications RCS, ACS, CI
