Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position requiring a New Mexico or Compact RN license and ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in the General Surgery unit of a hospital environment
• Full time day shift schedule, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
• 13-week assignment length
• Coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served

Requirements

• Active New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Current ACLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

Additional Information

• Perform pre-op, intra-op, and post-op patient assessments and reassessments
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care within established nursing standards
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
• Coordinate team assignments and delegate patient care tasks appropriately
• Participate in orientation of new staff and students on the unit
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Candidates who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment across the CHRISTUS Health System
