In this contract role, you'll work closely with a traveling RN who manages physician orders, emergency action plans, and procedure training for the campus. Your presence on-site is vital—managing the front line of student health by triaging and treating a range of routine needs.

Key Requirements:

• Active LVN license required
• Previous clinical experience as an LVN, preferably with children or in a school environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with other healthcare professionals
• Compassion and patience when addressing the needs of students

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct care and triage for students with minor illnesses or injuries during the school day
• Monitor and administer physician-ordered medications and treatments as directed
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation for students
• Respond calmly and effectively to school health emergencies, seeking RN guidance as needed
• Educate students on wellness topics and support the overall health of the school community
• Communicate with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student health concerns or care plans
• Uphold all state and district protocols for nursing care within the school setting
