We’re excited to be recruiting for a Customer Sales Executive to join our Commercial team, supporting customers across the UK healthcare and pharmacy market. In this customer‑focused commercial role, you’ll manage a mix of inbound and outbound sales activity, supporting existing customers through the sale of Optum software solutions, services and hardware products. Acting as a trusted point of contact, you’ll guide customers from initial enquiry through to close, helping them make informed decisions that create long‑term value. You’ll primarily engage customers remotely via telephone and virtual demonstrations, delivering a seamless, high‑quality sales experience while building strong, lasting relationships. You’ll also collaborate closely with colleagues across the wider Commercial team to ensure consistent delivery, accurate forecasting and sustainable revenue growth. This role is primarily home‑based, with occasional travel to customer meetings or events as required. What you’ll do: In this role, you’ll manage a varied sales pipeline, balancing incoming enquiries with proactive outreach to identify and convert new business opportunities. You’ll combine strong communication skills with commercial insight to build customer confidence, secure long‑term partnerships and drive performance. Your ability to understand customer needs, ask thoughtful questions and respond clearly will help you guide organisations through their journey with Optum. While experience in customer sales, telesales or a commercial environment is an advantage, what matters most is your curiosity, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. You’ll have a positive, collaborative mindset and a genuine desire to support customers and colleagues to achieve shared success. Primary Responsibilities: Managing inbound enquiries, campaign leads and referrals, ensuring opportunities are accurately recorded and progressed through the CRM system Qualifying prospects using defined processes to understand customer needs and assess sales potential Delivering remote demonstrations, managing negotiations and supporting customers through to contract completion Driving customer retention by identifying opportunities to expand services, upgrades and solutions within existing accounts Contributing to a monthly commercial reporting cadence, providing insight into performance versus targets, pipeline coverage and forecasting accuracy Who You’ll Be: You’ll be an engaging, customer‑focused sales professional who enjoys working directly with customers and building meaningful relationships.
