The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and overseeing the global litigation strategy, providing senior-level judgment on high-stakes matters, and serving as a strategic advisor to the business. Unlike traditional litigation roles, the focus is on strategic oversight, risk stewardship, and executive judgment rather than courtroom advocacy. The ideal candidate will have over 20 years' experience in managing complex, high-value litigation, with a proven track record of advising senior leadership and presenting to Boards. Key attributes include being a trusted enterprise leader, a strategic thinker, and a mentor who values the development of others. This executive position demands a mature leader with a background in construction, EPC, infrastructure, energy, mining, or industrial sectors, and experience in complex global or public company environments. The role requires a calm, decisive presence in high-stakes situations, and the ability to operate with a low-ego, relationship-driven leadership style. The Vice President of Litigation will also be responsible for driving the outside counsel strategy, leading a high-caliber team, and overseeing specialized risk areas. The candidate should be adept at translating complex legal risks into actionable insights for executives and the Board, and be committed to fostering a collaborative, relationship-driven culture within the legal function.
