GI Registered Nurse PRN

Overview Job ID 89778-147 • Date posted 05/27/2026 Gateway Endoscopy Center is looking to add a PRN RN who is a team player to our Outpatient GI Center. As a nurse at Gateway Endoscopy Center, you will work with physicians who specialize in diagnosing and treating a range of gastrointestinal conditions and will provide consultations and services to ensure patients receive appropriate care. Responsibilities Monitor and assess the physical/psychological status of the patient through observation and interaction during pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure according to the daily assignment. Assess and respond to the individual, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and significant others; act as patient advocate in coordinating patient care. Identify goals for individual patients and communicate these goals to others involved in the patient’s care. Use professional nursing judgment to implement the nursing care plan and resolve problems identified for the individual patient. Utilize supplies, equipment, and resources to contain costs without compromising delivery of care. Reduce the chance of nosocomial infection by directing attention to infection control and environmental safety practices. Report and document information accurately and in a timely manner. Communicate a positive and caring attitude toward patients, peers, staff, and other contacts. Seek guidance and assistance as needed; follow Center’s Policies and Procedures and participate in the QI program. Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and security of all patients and the Center’s communications and documents. Gain knowledge of all equipment and supplies; be familiar with their location, especially emergency supplies and equipment; participate in staff meetings and in-service trainings (mandatory and regular). Demonstrate flexibility in patient care, assignment, schedule, and needs of the Center. Maintain a clean, pleasant, and safe environment for self, colleagues, patients, and visitors. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduate of a professional school of nursing. Current state licensure as a registered nurse. Current certification BCLS and ACLS. Good command of the English language, both written and verbal. Ability to meet the needs of nursing services as demanded by the schedule, particularly when overtime hours and time changes are necessary. Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients, and others. Working Conditions Requires moderate mobility (walking and standing) while supervising or performing duties.
