Contract | Full-Time | 12-Hour Day Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn settings within a Baby-Friendly designated unit
• Support an active unit averaging approximately 40 deliveries and 6 cesarean sections per month
• Care for postpartum patients and newborns in a rooming-in environment consistent with BFHI standards
• Serve as charge nurse on an occasional basis following completion of charge nurse training
• Maintain flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Float to other departments as needed, which may include taking a patient load or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care in a healthcare setting; additional experience may be required
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Current American Heart Association ACLS or ALSO certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required; RNC-EFM may be substituted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience functioning in a charge nurse role within an OB or L&D unit
• Experience working in a Baby-Friendly Health Initiative (BFHI) designated facility
• Demonstrated ability to float and adapt competently across related clinical departments
