Details Work in a 12-bed Labor & Delivery unit within a Women's and Children's building Patient ratio of 1:2 Supported by unit secretaries and OR techs Documentation systems used include CPN and Meditech Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Schedule includes 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift per assignment period Works 3 shifts of 12 hours each Travelers are required to float first per unit policy Unit emphasizes shared decision-making in patient care Requirements Active RN license (TN or Compact) required Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM Experience with care of the laboring patient and immediate newborn care required Experience circulating and recovering C-section patients required Skilled in procedures including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period Assist with circulating and recovery duties for cesarean section patients Required to wear Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray scrubs (not provided by facility) Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted 13-week assignment length American Traveler Job ID P-739338.
