About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required License: California state license required; pending license accepted Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Ability to float within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals Description: Start date is ASAP. Shifts may vary, but primarily 8:30 AM. First-time travelers are welcome. Weekend requirements apply. Patient ratios and scheduling type may vary. Staffing support includes interpretation services and unit secretaries. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The unit performs a variety of procedures including orthopedics, urology, general and ENT surgeries, as well as pain management. Travelers may be expected to float between facilities as needed. Travelers must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. References are required covering recent work experience. Candidates should have relevant certifications and experience with specific charting systems. Communication devices may be provided for the assignment. Housing options should be explored as they may be limited. Modules required for compliance are non-billable and completed pre-start and annually.
