Project Overview:Louisiana LNG LLC is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths. Job Summary:The Lead Field Engineer (Siteworks) is responsible for providing technical assistance, direction, and support to Bechtel and subcontractor field supervision for all Siteworks operations and activities, including ground improvement, earthworks, roads and stormwater drainage. #LI-RM1 Major Responsibilities:Performing inspections and initiating supporting documentation for all discipline system installations on an ongoing basis. Providing support to field supervision in establishing requirements for manpower, tools, equipment, and material requirements for a given work evolutionDeveloping installation work packages for scopes of work in support of the construction schedulePreparing short- and long-term schedules, and interfacing with superintendents and other discipline field engineersExecuting field material takeoffs from "Issued For Construction" drawingsProviding input to the quantity tracking applications and reporting on weekly installed quantities to Project ControlsPreparing field material requisitions for equipment and materials, and monitoring status of purchase orders and deliveriesAssisting field procurement in receipt inspection and reporting of associated equipment and materials and preventive maintenance requirementsTrouble-shooting the design, resolving issues with engineering and/or fabricator using formal field documentation processesEnsuring all installations are per latest revisions of design drawings, specifications, standards and codesCompleting and verifying quality documentation per inspection and test plansCompleting and reviewing as-built documentationMonitoring actual work performance compared to the project budget and scheduleProviding “day-to-day” direction and coaching to direct reportsEducation and Experience Requirements: Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills:Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience Demonstrated ability to manage teams Displays effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications Excellent problem-solving ability Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site.  Total Rewards/Benefits:For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
