Summary The Lead Associate’s primary function is to sell and promote Perry Ellis merchandise through execution of customer service standards. The Lead Associate reinforces the Store Manager, ASM and supervisors in ensuring the store meets its goals and standards in financial performance, customer satisfaction, and visual presentation. Responsibilities Provide consistently excellent customer service to company standards and lead the team. Generate maximum sales potential in accordance with customer service standards. Build a repeat customer base through data capture of the PE Loyalty Program. Maintain strong product, promotion and event knowledge to communicate more effectively to customers. Foster a positive store experience, treating all customers and staff fairly and consistently. Maintain floor coverage, acknowledge every customer and prioritize customers over assigned tasks. Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication. Manage time and prioritize tasks. Operational tasks when supervisor/keyholder is absent. Keep merchandise filled to appropriate levels on the sales floor. Ensure the store appearance is visually distinctive and impeccably maintained. Minimize shortages through proper loss prevention procedures. Practices excellent customer service to prevent potential theft. Demonstrate awareness of store sales plans and results. Follow all operational policies and procedures. Support execution of pricing strategies and store planograms. Support and understand the company's brand position. Support replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor as needed. Requirements Energetic and positive attitude. 1–2 years of retail experience. Flexible availability and reliable transportation. Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills. Outgoing, friendly, personable with a positive attitude. Must be able to move and/or lift up to 25 pounds. High school degree.
