Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

This position is for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. The RN is responsible for providing care to patients during labor and delivery. Candidates must hold current certifications including C-EFM and STABLE. Experience with high-risk deliveries and various labor support techniques is essential. The RN will assist with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Comfortable working with a patient ratio of 2 is preferred. Experience with Cerner charting system is required. The position involves providing comprehensive patient care before, during, and after delivery. Knowledge of maternal and neonatal assessments is necessary. Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to work in high-pressure situations. Good communication and teamwork skills are crucial for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The facility supports a diverse patient population with varied needs. Flexibility to float between mother/baby and scrub areas is required. Every other weekend coverage is expected. The role includes responsibilities such as monitoring fetal heart rates and administering medications. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are vital. The RN will participate in emergency procedures as needed. A focus on patient education and support is essential throughout the labor and delivery process.
