Position Summary The Quality Control Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing quality control programs to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining construction quality, ensuring customer satisfaction, and promoting a culture of safety and operational excellence across all projects. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement quality control procedures, standards, and guidelines for construction projects. Conduct routine inspections, audits, and evaluations to verify compliance with quality requirements. Identify and address quality issues, deficiencies, non-conformities, and process improvements. Collaborate with project teams to establish corrective and preventive actions. Review project plans, drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure alignment with quality standards. Provide guidance and technical support to project teams regarding quality control requirements and best practices. Conduct training sessions to improve quality awareness and compliance among project personnel. Monitor quality control activities throughout all phases of project execution. Prepare reports, documentation, and performance metrics related to quality assurance and control. Participate in project meetings and contribute recommendations to improve overall project quality. Maintain accurate quality records and ensure documentation is completed in accordance with project and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications Experience Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry with a strong focus on quality control and quality assurance. Experience on at least two federal design-build projects. Experience on at least two construction projects valued at $10 million or greater. Knowledge & Skills In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, equipment, and processes. Strong understanding of quality control principles, methodologies, and industry best practices. Experience using quality control tools, equipment, software, and reporting systems. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong collaboration skills with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with heavy civil construction projects. Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for access to secured facilities, including military installations. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional certifications related to quality management or quality control, such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or equivalent credentials. Work Environment Project-based construction environment with both office and field responsibilities. Frequent interaction with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
