Technical Accounting Analyst US GAAP Technical Accounting – Financial Analyst Overview The Technical Accounting Analyst will lead technical accounting research, prepare position papers, and document key accounting judgments and estimates in collaboration with management and external auditors. The role provides support to finance teams and business partners on technical accounting matters, conducts research, analysis, and documentation related to contracts and operational matters, and leads the implementation and compliance with new accounting requirements. Responsibilities Lead technical accounting research and preparation of position papers. Document conclusions of key judgments and estimates with management and external auditors. Provide support to finance teams and business partners on technical accounting matters, including research, analysis, and documentation of conclusions related to contracts and operational matters. Lead the implementation of, and compliance with, new accounting requirements. Ensure the quarterly contingency and one‑timer reporting process is executed with no exception. Perform extensive benchmarking evaluations. Monitor, assess, document, and communicate new GAAP, SEC, and other accounting and disclosure issues. Coordinate with various departments to assist in providing and vetting financial information. Draft and update AFM accounting policies and memos. Actively participate in meetings across multiple organizations and identify and solve problems. Involve in quarter‑end close activities, including providing auditors documentation to support accounting conclusions. Skills and Competencies Detailed understanding of accounting rules. Consult with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision‑making within a broad scope. Identify opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engage in the design. Influence multiple organizations within a broad scope, typically interacting with other managers and directors. Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis. Education and Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CA or equivalent qualification required. 5 to 8 years combined experience in technical accounting, including Big‑4 accounting firms and/or controllership within large multinational, publicly‑held companies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate status, issues, risks, and opportunities with Corporate Financial Reporting leadership team. Proven ability to communicate complex topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience, including meeting facilitation and presentations. Exposure to ERP accounting and finance systems such as SAP preferred. Compensation The pay range for this role is $105,050 to $161,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applicable to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
