Job Type: Temp to Hire
Schedule: Hybrid, Monday to Thursday on-site, Friday work from home. 
Pay Rate: $26.50/h

The Project Billing Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and processing accurate billing for active projects. This role ensures all invoices reflect correct hours, rates, purchase orders, and contract terms. The specialist works closely with operations, project managers, and accounting to maintain compliance, resolve discrepancies, and support timely revenue recognition.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with numbers and structured processes. They communicate clearly, follow financial guidelines, and enjoy supporting project teams by ensuring billing accuracy. They thrive in fast-paced environments and bring consistency, accountability, and strong problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process project billing according to contract terms
• Review hours, rates, PO’s, and supporting documentation
• Coordinate with project managers to resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures
• Support revenue reporting and month-end processes
• Communicate billing updates to accounting and operations
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in billing, invoicing, or project accounting
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to interpret contracts, PO’s, and rate structures
• Clear communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and billing systems
• Reliability and consistency in daily tasks
