TravelNurseSource is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Bowling Green, Kentucky, 42101!

Job details:

Position: Travel RN – Neuro ICU $$SN$$
Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Duration: 13 weeks

Job Duties

• Provide critical care to patients in a Neuro ICU setting.

• Care for patients with acute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes.

• Perform stroke assessments and recognize stroke signs and symptoms using competencies such as BE-FAST.

• Administer IV tPA and provide appropriate post-tPA monitoring.

• Perform bedside dysphagia screening.

• Follow current stroke guidelines and performance measures.

• Float to the stepdown unit as needed with a 1:4 patient ratio.

• Utilize CRRT; experience is highly preferred.

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary critical care team.

• Document patient care using Meditech; experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Active KY or Compact RN License in hand

• BLS required

• ACLS required

• Current NIHSS certification, obtained within 2 years of start date

• Minimum 9 months of travel experience required

• Must be willing to float to stepdown
