About the Role:

Appalachian Real Estate Development Corporation in Boone, NC, is looking for an energetic and driven Student Housing Leasing Manager to lead our leasing efforts and help students find their perfect college apartment experience at Appalachian State University's premier off-campus student housing community. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of App State's brand new off-campus student community, connecting students with a place where they can thrive during their college years.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full leasing cycle including lead generation, tours, applications, and lease signings
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive occupancy and meet leasing goals
• Build relationships with Appalachian State University students, faculty, and campus organizations
• Coordinate move-in and move-out processes to ensure a seamless resident experience
• Maintain accurate records in property management software and track leasing metrics
• Respond promptly to prospective and current resident inquiries via phone, email, and in person
• Plan and participate in on-campus outreach events, tabling, and promotional activities

Requirements:

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school or job-related experience.  Must demonstrate literacy in the English language, including reading and writing.
• Six months to one year of experience in leasing, property management, or student housing preferred
• Strong sales, customer service, and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiarity with property management software (AppFolio or similar)
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends during peak leasing seasons
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities
• Understanding of Fair Housing laws and leasing compliance standards
