Solution Architect - Payment Hub (Cash Management)

Salary: $104,000 - 144,000 per year Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience in software architecture, software engineering, or application development.
• Experience in financial services, banking, payments, fintech, or related technology environments.
• Proven experience architecting and implementing payment platforms, payment hubs, cash management systems, or related financial platforms.
• Hands-on experience with PortX, Thought Machine, or comparable integration technologies such as MuleSoft, Apigee, or WSO2.
• Strong understanding of payment processing, payment rails, settlement, reconciliation, and treasury systems.
• Experience with microservices architecture, API-first design, and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Proficiency in one or more backend technologies, such as .NET, Java, Scala, Spring Boot, or Node.js.
• Experience with event-streaming technologies such as Kafka, containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Strong understanding of security, scalability, high availability, and resiliency principles for financial systems.
• Strong communication, technical leadership, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
• Preferred: experience with real-time payment systems, ISO 20022 and/or SWIFT messaging, application modernization or cloud transformation, enterprise integration patterns, API governance frameworks, and highly available, enterprise-scale financial technology platforms.

• Architect and design an enterprise-grade Payment Hub platform for complex cash management workflows and integrations with banking and fintech systems.
• Use PortX, Thought Machine, and other middleware and integration technologies to enable API-based connections across financial systems.
• Lead end-to-end technical architecture, including microservices, APIs, event-driven processing, and cloud deployment patterns.
• Partner with business, product, engineering, and technology teams to turn requirements into scalable architecture solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
• Establish and maintain architecture standards, security models, design principles, and performance benchmarks.
• Assess emerging technologies and industry trends across payments, fintech, banking, and wealth management.
• Support platform modernization initiatives and ongoing architectural improvement.
• Ensure solutions meet scalability, availability, security, performance, and resiliency requirements.
