Storied French luxury retailer, Printemps, is preparing to open its first ever US location at One Wall Street in the heart of the Financial District. 

Located in the historic 50-story landmark, Printemps will have five distinct food and beverage concepts ranging from a casual cafe to a fine dining restaurant. Food and beverage is helmed by Top Chef alumnus and 3-time James Beard Award Winner, Chef Gregory Gourdet.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Expeditor (Expo) to join our back-of-house team. As the Expo, you'll be the key communicator between the kitchen and the front of house, ensuring each dish meets our quality standards and is delivered promptly and accurately. This is a fast-paced position that requires great organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the liaison between kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth, efficient service.

• Manage all incoming orders through the POS system and communicate them clearly to the kitchen, including any modifications, allergies, or special requests.

• Coordinate timing to ensure all dishes for a table are sent out together and maintain accuracy and quality control before plates leave the kitchen (presentation, portion size, temperature).

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the menu, appropriate utensils and communicate any 86s or menu changes to the dining room staff.

• Understand and follow food safety and allergy protocols.

• Assist with restocking and light prep work during slow periods as needed.

• Keep the expo line clean and organized throughout service.

• Transport food from the kitchen to guests when needed, ensuring accuracy and speed.

• Adhere to grooming and dress code standards.

• Support a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting preferred, but not required.

• Strong multitasking and time management skills.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

• Attention to detail and a passion for quality.

• Ability to stay calm and efficient in a high-pressure environment.

• Flexible schedule and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

• Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
