Job Description – Salesforce Marketing Cloud Tech Lead
Role: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Tech Lead Experience: 8–12 Years Location: Mumbai
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Tech Lead to lead the design, development, integration, and implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions. The candidate will work closely with business, Salesforce, and technical teams to deliver scalable and effective marketing automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
•
Lead the design, development, configuration, and implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) solutions.
•
Develop and manage Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, Content Builder, and Mobile Studio solutions.
•
Design and implement complex customer journeys, segmentation, personalization, and marketing automation workflows.
•
Develop and optimize SQL queries for data segmentation, audience creation, and campaign execution.
•
Work extensively with AMPscript and SSJS for dynamic content and personalized communications.
•
Design and manage data extensions, data relationships, subscriber management, and contact models.
•
Integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM and other enterprise applications using APIs and integration mechanisms.
•
Work on REST/SOAP APIs, data synchronization, and external system integrations.
•
Lead technical discussions with business stakeholders and Salesforce teams. Ensuring the Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Data cloud platform aligns with business requirements.
•
Review technical requirements, prepare solution designs, and provide effort estimates.
•
Ensure development follows Salesforce and Marketing Cloud best practices, security standards, and coding standards.
•
Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical solutions within agreed SLAs.
•
Perform code reviews and mentor junior Salesforce Marketing Cloud developers.
•
Coordinate with offshore/onshore teams and stakeholders for delivery, testing, deployment, and production support.
•
Participate in release management, deployment, and environment management activities.
•
Maintaining data quality and developing strategies for data cleansing
•
Creating reports and dashboards to track campaign results and provide insights for promotional campaigns.
•
Manage and optimize the use of Salesforce Marketing Cloud for email, SMS and WhatsApp
•
Excellent communication skills.

Experience leading a team or working as a technical lead.

Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Administrator
•
Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Specialist
•
Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Consultant
•
Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Developer
Good to Have
•
Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications such as Marketing Cloud Engagement Developer or related certifications.
•
Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud / Data 360 - Salesforce Certified Data 360 Consultant certifications.
•
Knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
•
Experience with enterprise-scale marketing campaigns and customer 360 implementations.
•
Knowledge of CI/CD and deployment tools.
•
Experience working in Agile development environments.

Education
