Pharmacy Intern

Responsibilities Work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to help maintain a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy environment that delivers exceptional care to patients Focus on patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management (excluding final prescription verification) Primary Roles and Responsibilities Lead with heart by showing empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues Seek opportunities to grow, collaborate, and deliver better outcomes Align others around our purpose and bring commitment to every moment of care Foster a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride Education Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy Required Qualifications Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy 0-3 years of relevant work experience Must possess or be in the process of obtaining a valid intern and/or technician licensure as required Strong communication and presentation skills Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe Have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods Lift, scan, and bag items Finger dexterity: picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers Reach overhead and stretch to grasp items Extend hands and arms to place, move, or lift items Precise machine adjustment capability Stoop and move items between low and high positions Visual acuity for transcription, computer use, reading, and visual inspection of small parts Able to orally communicate information to colleagues and customers Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs; exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs frequently Ability To Have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends Complete additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager Complete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines Preferred Qualifications Immunization eligibility Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Once state regulations are met, interns should strive to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function Pay The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $21.25 - $25.00 Benefits We offer a comprehensive and competitive mix of pay and benefits that reflect our commitment to colleagues and their families.
