Follows nursing department philosophies, policies and procedures to develop unique education and care plans for each patient and provide appropriate education and support for family members. Utilizes judgment, knowledge and understanding of patient and family needs when directing ancillary staff.The Float Pool is a critical component of supplemental staffing resources across departments. The Float Pool RN is maintained as a member of the 4th floor/Telemetry staff at CHH and must function across departments in the role of a critical care RN. This role requires established experience and knowledge across variable areas and acuity. Float Pool Staff RNs are trained and work across variable departments (ED, ICU, Telemetry & Med-Surg).QualificationsMaintains current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of ConnecticutBachelor's degree in field of Nursing preferredAcute Care Telemetry & Critical Care Experience preferred; at least 1 year of recent experience in an ICU setting preferredWith locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
