We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee multiple educational facility construction projects as part of a large capital improvement program. This role is responsible for managing projects from construction through closeout, leading project teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with experience managing public sector or institutional construction projects and multiple concurrent assignments.

Responsibilities

• Manage 5–10 concurrent construction projects ranging from $2M–$15M.
• Lead project teams and ensure compliance with program policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and the Program Management Office.
• Review construction documents, contracts, schedules, and budgets.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare project reports, presentations, and status updates for leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements.
• Manage project documentation, quality control, and closeout activities.
• Coordinate scheduling and budget activities related to FF&E, relocation, and asset disposition.
• Review construction site operations for compliance with legal, contractual, and safety requirements.
• Support dispute resolution and provide project information during outreach activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or a related field.
• • Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple construction projects.
• Experience with large capital improvement or public construction programs.
• Knowledge of public construction codes and regulations.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, contracts, and stakeholder communications.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience reviewing and developing construction contract documents.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing educational facility construction projects.
• Knowledge of all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, construction, and closeout.
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Experience using web-based project management platforms such as Proliance.
• Familiarity with alternative project delivery methods.
• Experience with LEED and/or Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS) projects.
• Experience working with the Division of the State Architect (DSA) or similar regulatory agencies.
• Experience in formal construction partnering.
• One or more of the following credentials:
