Nurse Practitioner

Shoemaker Family Medicine & Shoemaker Express Care

Ashland City, Tennessee

Shoemaker Family Medicine and Shoemaker Express Care are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and highly motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team.

This unique split-role position combines continuity-focused primary care with fast-paced walk-in urgent care, giving providers the opportunity to build long-term patient relationships while also treating acute illnesses and injuries in an urgent care setting.

We are a locally owned, family-focused practice committed to providing high-quality, personalized care to our community.

Position Overview

This provider will work collaboratively between both clinics.

Example Schedule

• Primary Care: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Shoemaker Family Medicine
• Express Care/Urgent Care: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Shoemaker Express Care

The role includes treating patients across a wide range of ages and conditions, including:

• Chronic disease management
• Preventive care
• Acute illnesses
• Minor injuries
• Walk-in urgent care visits

We are also open to candidates interested in a part-time position working exclusively on the urgent care/express care side.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans as appropriate
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently
• Collaborate with clinical staff to provide high-quality patient care
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in both primary care and urgent care settings

Clinic Hours

Shoemaker Family Medicine

• Monday–Thursday: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: 6:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Shoemaker Express Care

• Monday–Thursday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Friday: 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the state of Tennessee
• Family medicine, urgent care, or acute care experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
