About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Registered Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting. Candidates with license or background hits will not be accepted. Candidates must be willing and able to work in charge nurse and preceptor roles if needed. Description: The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team. This position is responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process. The nurse will assess patients upon admission and throughout their stay. Responsibilities include administering IV medications, therapy, and blood as needed. Providing patient education is a key component of the role. The nurse must document nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses. Experience in critical care nursing is required. Candidates who do not meet the minimum experience requirement will not be considered. Holiday coverage is required for this position.
