HVAC Technician

HVAC/R MechanicWe are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC/R Mechanic to install, service, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in a variety of facilities, including residential spaces, commercial buildings, laboratories, and galleys. This position plays a critical role in ensuring environmental control systems operate efficiently and safely.Key Responsibilities:Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems using knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and system layoutFabricate and install ductwork, tubing, and piping; solder joints and perform system leak testsMount compressors and condenser units; install evaporators and expansion valvesConnect electrical components and test system functionalityTroubleshoot, diagnose, and adjust systems for optimal performanceReplace defective parts including thermostats, breakers, fuses, and wiringPerform scheduled and emergency maintenance tasksInstall, repair, and service air conditioners ranging from 1?4 ton to 385 tons cooling capacity in large and small buildingsEnsure compliance with safety regulations and company proceduresWhat We're Looking For:Minimum 4 years of experience in HVAC/R mechanical repairEvidence of successful completion of at least two vocational education training courses in refrigeration, air conditioning, and controls (e.g., vocational tech school, community college, military training, or reputable correspondence programs)EPA Certification – Class I & II (Universal preferred)Solid understanding of HVAC/R troubleshooting, diagnostics, and tools of the tradeAbility to read blueprints and engineering specificationsValid state-issued driver's license and clean driving recordMust be a U.S. Citizen and able to meet background, drug screening, and physical requirements (including ability to lift 50 lbs and respirator qualification)Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentBasic computer skills; knowledge of HVAC PRO or similar systems is a plus
