Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Operating Room Surgery Center Nurse in Madison, WI A specialized facility seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join their multispecialty surgical team. The role involves managing the overall functioning of the operating room to ensure smooth surgical procedures, with opportunities to circulate and scrub. The position offers a dynamic environment dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care across various surgical interventions. Job Details Location: Madison, WI Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 0640 1710, with no weekends or holidays. Rotating day off each week. Required Qualifications: Valid RN license (WI RN or compact RN), BLS certification from the American Heart Association, minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty area, and at least 2 years of experience in operating room environments. Preferred Qualifications: Inpatient OR circulation experience, experience with multispecialty procedures, and familiarity with Epic charting system. Float: Float rotation may be required as needed. Additional Information: Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to. Pass/Fail testing with strict criteria including a telemetry exam prior to start. Location specifics: University Hospital, 600 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792. Permitted onsite parking requires a permit through UW Transportation. Candidates must meet established criteria for adult and pediatric cardiac interpretation exams. Travel compliance: Travelers are required to float as needed and must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
