Complete Demolition Services (CDS) is a growing Louisville demolition contractor, and we’re looking for a Class A or B CDL Driver to haul our heavy equipment, debris, and materials between the shop, jobsites, and disposal sites. You’ll keep crews supplied and jobs moving by getting machines and material where they need to be -safely, legally, and on time.

On-time transport is production - your work directly protects the schedule, the budget, and the safety of everyone on the road and on site. If you’ve got a clean Class A record and take pride in running a tight, well-secured load, we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Do

• Haul heavy equipment, demolition debris, scrap, concrete, and aggregate between the yard, jobsites, and disposal facilities

• Load, chain, strap, and secure equipment and material to DOT cargo securement standards

• Operate Class A tractor-trailer combinations — lowboy, flatbed, dump, and equipment trailers

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and basic vehicle upkeep

• Plan efficient, legal routes and maintain DOT-compliant logs and trip records

• Maneuver and position equipment safely in active demolition environments

• Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and crews on schedules and equipment moves

• Keep your assigned truck clean, fueled, and job-ready

What You Bring

• 2+ years of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (CDL training or commercial driving coursework a plus)

• Valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement (required)

• Current DOT medical card (required)

• Clean driving record and insurable under our commercial auto policy

• Ability to secure loads, verify weight distribution, and stay within legal axle and gross weight limits

• Comfort operating a vehicle with a manual transmission and clutch

• Preferred: demolition, construction, aggregate, or heavy-equipment hauling experience; lowboy / removable-gooseneck (RGN) experience; tanker or doubles/triples endorsements

The Work Environment

This is an on-the-road role based out of the CDS yard, hauling to and from active demolition jobsites throughout the Louisville, KY metro area and surrounding region. Expect exposure to dust, noise, debris, and moving heavy equipment, plus year-round driving in summer heat and winter cold. Early start times are common, with occasional extended or weekend hauls based on the project schedule. The work is physical: you’ll climb into and out of the cab and onto trailers; lift, push, and pull 50+ lbs. handling chains and straps; and wear required PPE for the entire shift.
