Job Title: Armed Safety Officer
Location: Milton Montessori School

Position Type: Part-Time / Full-Time (based on need)
Pay: $19/hr-$21/hr
About the Role:
We are seeking a professional, reliable, and experienced Armed Safety Officer to provide a safe and secure environment at a private Montessori school serving infant through elementary-aged students . This role is critical in maintaining a calm, protected, and welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a visible and proactive security presence on campus
- Monitor school entry/exit points and control access to the facility
- Ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors at all times
- Respond quickly and effectively to any safety concerns or emergencies
- Conduct routine patrols of the campus
- Collaborate with school leadership and staff on safety protocols
- De-escalate situations professionally and appropriately
- Complete incident reports and daily activity logs as required
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid and active Armed Security License (REQUIRED)
- Prior experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military preferred
- Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor, especially in a school environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Must pass background check and any required screenings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a school or child-focused environment
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong conflict resolution skills
