Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit WA, Spokane 07/06/2026 Contract Job Summary Provides direct and individualized nursing care to neonates in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), focusing on critically ill infants. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to implement and evaluate patient care plans. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically ill neonates. Monitor vital signs, neurological status, and other physiological parameters. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Provide respiratory support, including mechanical ventilation management. Manage specialized equipment and technologies utilized in NICU care. Educate and support families regarding infant care and condition. Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families. Schedule / Shift Variable shifts, including weekends. 48 hours per week approved. Required Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Experience Previous experience in a NICU setting. Experience caring for critically ill neonates. Skills Proficiency in advanced neonatal assessment and care. Ability to manage ventilators and other critical care equipment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment. Neonatal critical care skills. EMR / Systems Epic Patient Population Neonates requiring intensive care. Unit / Specialty Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Level II Pediatric Trauma Center Floating / On‑Call May float between units. On‑call is not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
