TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Fort Collins, Colorado, 80524!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Medical Surgical and Oncology License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS required; ONS certification preferred Must-Have: - Experience in medical and surgical oncology - Ability to float within scope and to similar units Description: 10 days of requested time off (RTO) maximum approved per 13-week contract. RTO is not allowed during specific time periods. Flexibility may be considered for harder-to-fill positions. Weekend shifts required every third weekend, subject to change based on unit needs. Ratios of 1:5-1:6, depending on chemotherapy admissions and experience. Chemotherapy administration not guaranteed. Previous charge experience is preferred. Charting experience preferred with EPIC system. Patients are primarily adults and geriatrics. Daily census of approximately 30 patients. Unit details include interdisciplinary support from various teams. Patient diagnoses consist of medical and surgical oncology cases. Special procedures include management of chemotherapy admissions. Travelers may float to similar units and facilities as needed. Completion of all facility-specific modules is required within the first week of the assignment. Advanced nursing skills in accessing and managing ports, administration of chemotherapy, and patient education are essential. Candidates will be expected to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values and manage side effects of treatment.
