We are looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer with embedded development experience to join our Space and RF Sensors team in El Segundo, CA. Responsible for some or all of a Software product, contributing as a software team member and possibly leading a small software team. Responsibilities spanning the full lifecycle of product development, from architecture and design, through integration, test, and field support. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of relevant software experience. Experience in programming languages such as C++, Java, Python or similar. Experience across SDLC including software integration & testing, and debugging tools. Experience using version control tools like Git. Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance as and when required. U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer: Proven self-motivated problem solver who can look at a situation, identify gaps or issues, and take initiative to resolve them (technically, with process, and with documentation) Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles and practices. Proficiency with Agile lifecycle process including Scrum, Continuous Integration and Test-Driven Development Methodologies Experience developing on Red Hat Linux or equivalent OS Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and secure software development methodologies Experience leveraging Generative AI and Machine Learning to improve productivity, collaboration, and performance Experience with gRPC and Protobufs Experience with Linux, VxWorks, INTEGRITY, or other RTOS Familiarity with Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles. The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
