Hands-On Experience – Work directly on high-impact infrastructure projects Innovative Problem-Solving – We go beyond conventional methods to engineer smart, effective solutions Career Growth – Work alongside industry experts and gain high-value, real-world experience Tight-Knit Team – A mid-sized company where employees are valued, not just a number Key Responsibilities Assist in interpreting drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages Assist in field surveying and layout work, including elevations, control points, and compilation of as-built data Order and schedule material deliveries to ensure project efficiency Perform material takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and contract documents Perform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations Assist engineers/project managers with data gathering and preparation for submittals and transmittals to customers, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal use Assist in maintaining basic project record keeping, including daily reports, photographs, RFIs, and memorandums Enter data into the job cost system and participate in reviewing cost reports with job site management Support cost tracking, job costing, and reporting Assist in generating change orders and as-built data to be reviewed by the project manager Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field (Engineering or Construction Management) 1-2 years of combined experience in heavy/civil projects (internship experience preferred) Strong work ethic – willing to do what it takes to get the job done and do it right Passion for heavy civil construction and problem-solving Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed Willingness to travel regionally for project assignments Ability to work for ECI without requiring sponsorship for employment now or in the future Authorized to work in the United States What We Offer Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents Wellness program for employees and dependents Simple IRA Paid time off to support work-life balance Opportunities for career development and mentorship Texting Privacy Policy and Information: Message type: Informational; you will receive text messages regarding your application and potentially regarding interview scheduling.
