Job Title: Class A Fitter/Welder Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Class A Fitter/Welder with a minimum of 3 years of experience in fitting and welding within a manufacturing environment or equivalent training. The position requires proficiency in MIG, Flux-core, and TIG welding techniques, and the ability to pass a 3G MIG/Flux-core plate test and a 6G TIG pipe test.

Responsibilities

• Perform fitting and welding tasks according to blueprints and specifications.
• Utilize MIG, Flux-core, and TIG welding techniques to fabricate and assemble structural steel components.
• Ensure all welding work meets quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in fitting and welding within a manufacturing setting or equivalent training.
• Proficiency in MIG, Flux-core, and TIG welding techniques.
• Ability to pass a 3G MIG/Flux-core plate test and a 6G TIG pipe test.
• Strong understanding of blueprints and structural steel fabrication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in structural steel fabrication is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing facility on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 5am to 3:30pm. The environment is collaborative and safety-focused, with opportunities to work on diverse projects using advanced welding technologies.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Collinsville, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
