Overview Interventional Rad Tech, Interventional Radiology Kansas City, KS, United States Start date: 04/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly pay: $2,714–$2,968 per week Guaranteed hours: none Shift: 4x10-hour days Setting: hospital travel assignment Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,714–$2,968 per week Guaranteed hours: none Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x10-hour days Start date: 04/12/2026 High-volume IR lab with seven rooms; siloed setup; fast-paced environment (60–65 cases per day) Bi-weekly pay schedule; orientation details and bi-weekly credentialing process Responsibilities Perform imaging-guided interventional radiology procedures under physician direction; assist with catheter placements and vascular workups. Prepare and scrub for IR cases; maintain sterile technique; manage set-up and equipment for Siemens Artis systems (Icono, Q, Zee) in single-plane configurations. Operate imaging equipment, monitor real-time images, and ensure patient safety during procedures; assist with contrast administration as directed. Maintain sterile field, assist with patient positioning, and support hemorrhage control and post-procedure care planning. Document procedures accurately; coordinate with the radiology team for case flow and patient transport; may float to other IR lab locations within the same network. Comply with radiation safety standards and infection control policies; participate in frequent high-volume case management in a multi-room lab. Requirements Active ARRT Radiography license and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license (required in hand for submittal) IR experience: minimum 2 years of interventional radiology; scrub experience required Experience preferred: 3 years in IR, large hospital experience; peripheral and neurovascular exposure is a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced, siloed IR lab with multiple rooms (7 rooms) and a high daily caseload Willingness to participate in orientation and bi-weekly credentialing; to work 10-hour shifts and travel Benefits and Support Dedicated staffing support with a named account manager 24/7 recruiter and travel support throughout the assignment Fast credentialing process to facilitate start Orientation: 8-hour no-bill orientation Bi-weekly pay schedule Opportunities for contract extension where available Find more opportunities If you’re exploring other openings, you can view additional positions at and apply to roles that align with your IR radiology experience.
