RN - MedSurg


Job Details:


• Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend rotation, on-call, or holiday expectations
• Shift times range from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM depending on daily schedule
• Work within a clinic setting seeing approximately 50 patients per day
• Primarily assigned to specific general surgery providers and will rotate through clinics
• May float to Good Hope Clinic, East Mequon Clinic, or Port Washington Clinic with advance notice (farthest location approximately 20 minutes away)
• Perform in-basket management including phone triaging, medication refills, and answering portal questions
• Handle FMLA and prior authorization paperwork
• Assist with rooming patients including vitals, medication reconciliation, and medical history
• Provide pre/post-surgery patient education
• Work with adults only, including patients undergoing pre/post surgeries such as gallbladder, appendectomies, colorectal, colon, G-tube, hernia repairs, and bariatric procedures
• Assist with in-office procedures including incision and drainage for abscesses and colorectal scopes
• Minimum 1 year of clinic experience required
• Ambulatory EPIC experience required
• Required certification: BLS
• Scrub color: Any solid color, professional - no graphics, logos, or designs
• Up to 5 days of department orientation provided
• Free parking available on site

This clinic facility is connected to a hospital and houses several clinics within the building. The unit consists of 13 rooms and supports a high volume of approximately 50 patients per day. The department is staffed with a collaborative team including medical assistants, other registered nurses, advanced practice providers, patient service representatives, and surgery schedulers, creating a highly supportive unit culture for traveling healthcare professionals.
