Mechatronics & Robotics Technician

Job Title: Mechatronics & Robotics Technician About the Role As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance Team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will also install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. Key Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more. Create, assign, and close out work orders, recording labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used. Track and store department inventory. Mentor junior technicians to help them grow in their roles. Maintain positive working relationships across the Operations facility. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls. 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 1+ year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading. 1+ year of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, with the ability to create and manage documents effectively. Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher from a vocational school or college focusing on mechanical or electrical fields. Experience with MHE safety standards according to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and safety standards. Experience with robotic operation and maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. Physical Demands Ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps or ladders, use an aerial lift, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs of equipment. Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include hard hats, face masks, face shields, and composite toe shoes. Regular crouching, bending, and reaching to install or move equipment. Movement between departments, floors, and properties, averaging 6 to 12 miles per day. Work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures. Regular computer use (1–2 hours per day). Benefits Weekly pay. Compensation The compensation for the position is $28.86 to $33.95 per hour, depending on location and qualification.
