Details Work in the Pediatric ICU of a hospital setting Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30) 13-week assignment length Floating required to NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS units as needed Epic charting system experience required Requirements Active OH or Compact RN license in hand Current BLS and PALS certifications Minimum 2 years of current PICU experience required (CVPICU-only experience not accepted) Teaching hospital experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience required First-time travelers considered with 3 years of recent Level 1 PICU experience Proficiency in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, central line care, IV therapy, and pediatric medication administration Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and dysrhythmia management Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to pediatric ICU patients including respiratory, cardiovascular, renal, and neurologic support Utilize specialized skills such as ICP monitoring, ETCO2 monitoring, and Broselow system for pediatric dosing Floating to multiple units is a standard expectation for this facility Cannot have worked as a permanent employee at the facility within the last 2 years No local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius Two supervisory references required, at least one from a manager or supervisor (charge references not accepted) American Traveler Job ID P-736186.
